Just a thought.

Have you ever tried to write a book? Well, if you have, you know (as I do) that it is hard. I've been working on a book called Just Like Magic for two years. I consider it a job now. Gnome has given me lots of "constructive" criticism. It's really hard to accept. I feel like my story is being torn apart. But I know that's not true. Because every time we revise it, my book's better than it was before.
Thank you Gnome.

Space

Do you really care?
About what's out there?
I plea,

Our problems are here,
So keep them all near,
You see?

Don't spread them around,
Keep them on the ground,
With me.

This is a Lai Verse. I wrote it a few weeks ago for school.
(Just in case you didn't get the message.) It's about the way humans travel into space when they have so many problems that need to be solved on their own planet!
I'm sure when Gnome sees it, she will have plenty to say!

Wow Slammy. That's a powerful poem. I feel the same way.

I'm so impressed that you've stuck with writing your book for so long. That's incredible! I can't wait to read it. That is really awesome that Gnome is able to help you. Every writer needs a good editor...painful but true. Keep at it!! : )

Slammy, I think you've surpassed me, I don't know if I can help you much anymore, but I'll try!
Love, Gnome

Slammy, I can't WAIT to read your book! And little E will be so excited to read it as well . . .who knows, if it takes you a long time, she'll be the perfect age to read it once it's done.
